I’m Rev. Chip Smith, a Congregational minister, writer, and church planter based in Northern Virginia.
I was ordained in April 2026 after completing my M.Div. I’ve been part of the NACCC community for over 15 years and have a deep appreciation for congregational polity, relational ministry, and the priesthood of all believers.
In May 2026, my wife Allison and I relocated to the Springfield area of Northern Virginia. I’m currently planting a new NACCC church while also developing writing projects and resources for couples and spiritual formation.
My own journey through long-term recovery has shaped how I approach ministry — with an emphasis on grace, honesty, vulnerability, and the belief that our struggles can become places of connection and hope.
I care about creating spaces where people can be honest about their lives, experience real grace, and grow in relationship — with God and with one another. Whether through preaching, writing, or pastoral presence, my hope is to help people take faithful next steps in their journey.
